Dry lube

I'm trying using a mandrel after neck sizing. It was going a little rough so I'm trying dry lube and noticed you only have to lube every 10 or or more necks to get a smooth stroke. Question does the amount of dry lube from the first to last case affect accuracy?

I do the same process, but use the dry lube every other case because of what you said. I do find using a 21st undersize mandrel after neck sizing for uniform tension gives me extremely even readings on my 21 century hydro press. And I want even dry lubing on all my necks so bullets have even release, so I do it to be safe. Maybe I’m taking it to far, who knows. From everything I have been taught on this forum, it’s all about consistency.

I use it on every case but I gave it a slight tap on the bench to remove excess it seems to work well for me

I pretty much do the same thing. Can not see any difference from the first to the tenth. Same little bug hole. Just my two cents. Tommy Mc To answer your question not for me.

Powdered graphite is nothing more than finely ground carbon. I wet tumble and it removes all the carbon inside the neck. I dip each case neck into the Imperial dry lube and let the mandril or expander smear a new layer of carbon inside the neck.

Your mileage may vary depending on how you clean your cases.
