Looks good.Thanks for the vide
Looks good. Thanks for the videne thing I would like to comment on is the anchor and guywire on the third pole from the range. You folks might want to use something to protect the guy from traffic. It looks close to the edge of the road maybe 2-3 feet from edge.An old pole butt, large rock, etc. would do fine.It only takes one person not paying attention that can ruin a day for you guys.I made a lot of OT money because of them over 40 years in linework.Otherwise it looks great.Good like with the project. Jeff
Hey Rick, You are right,I`ve seen the results of alot of idiots.Maybe a sign at the gate will work.NO IDIOTS BEYOND THIS POINT.That could cover a lot of potential problems. Just kidding most idiots don`t read signs. JeffAppreciate the advice. However, although it's a little difficult to tell from the angle of the video, if someone manages to hit that anchor/guy he will be in serious trouble with the slope anyway. That anchor is several feet down from the edge of the parking lot and the slope is very steep. Not that it couldn't happen. When you make something idiot proof someone comes up with a better idiot. Also, in response to another comment, yes, we are spending a helluvalot of $$, maybe more. By the time we have most of what we want we will be well past $1,000,000. That will include the pistol bays under construction, trap field above the pond on the right and the archery range. We will have concrete and block restroom facilities, probably in two or thee locations. we'll also be adding a limited # of campsites sometime in the future. The timing will depend on how many new members we are able to add and how quickly. We have enough $$ to get the pistol bays and trap done, but it's going to be a close thing until it's time for dues in December. We are looking for another 400 new members or so. We are already drawing some and when the weather improves and the pistol bays are in use that should improve things. That area is big on the shotgun sports, so the trap range will also drive new memberships.
Rick
