drop in triggers

i have a new rem 700 sps varmint and would like to have a trigger pull of less than 1 lb but i have no experience with drop in triggers. i would like everyone or anyones opinions of drop in triggers my budget is 200.00 and i would like to do it myself as i am mechanically inclined but not a gun smith please help

Purchase a Jewell HVRTSBR-A for your $200 allotment & be done w/ it.
HV-Hunter Varmint
R-Right Hand
TS-Top Safety
BR-Bolt Release
A- spring

Less expensive varieties are available but are not 3 lever design as per the Jewell.
ie;Timney,Basix,Jard

Timneys are good but I dont know if the 700 will go to 1#// Check their website for info. I think they would come close to your budget.

Jewells are good, very good and usually come w/ couple springs for different pull weights.

Timney has a new trigger for the 700 called the "Calvin Elite" and it is supposed to give Jewell a run for his money. I just put one in my silhouette rifle and it feels real good. As good or better than the Jewell in my 40-X long range gun. Don't know about the internal mechanism, levers, etc. Adjustable from 8 oz to 2.5 pounds. Retails for $215 but is available all over the place for less.
Time will tell.
