Sako Triggers

Would like recommendations for replacement triggers for Sako L-461 actions. I've got several rifles with these actions, but I'm only familiar with the Canjar replacement trigger. I think that I read that Canjar was no longer in business?? So, that might not be an option any longer. Any help/ personal experience would be appreciated. Thanks, Joe

Timney is the only other one that I've heard of. There may be others, but I've never had any reason to want to replace a Sako trigger. What's up with yours?

The factory triggers break cleanly, but I can't seem to get them safely below about 2#. I'd like to be able to get into the 8 oz - 1# area. The Canjar trigger will do that, but is pricey. Anyone know if they are still in business for sure? I will check on the Timney.

Joe - In Dec. or Jan. I spoke to a Mary at MH Canjar, after quite a few attempts. She told me that they were in the process of closing the doors at that time. I remember there was about a week long period at that time when a person could still buy what inventory was left. They didn't have a list of what they did have, you had to inquire about particular makes and models and they'd get back to you. I was interested in Rem, Win, and Sako - ended up striking out on all. What they did have left was some pretty funky stuff.

I have had a Canjar on a real nice old L61-R Sako for over 30 years. Very adjustable in all respects. If you have your heart set on a Canjar for your's, I think about your only option would be to try to scratch it up on the internet... I understand that they do come available from time to time.

Joe, Timney makes a trigger that fits some of the L461 Sakos. It will go to 1 1/2#. I believe that is the only trigger available that I am familiar with.

hi i am in the process of fitting a anschutz 54 match trigger to my l461 action now there is nothing else available anywhere for this action, the varmit modells did come with a pretty good match trigger but they are no longer available anywhere.the anschutz trigger will go in with a bit of work and you have the best trigger in the world.
