Drop in FPS?

I also am interested to know what they find out. A couple years ago, i purchased several one pounders and was putting them up in the storage cabinet and noticed one of them felt unusually heavy
I weighed the can and it was 1 pound 14 ounces all the rest weighed 1 pound 2 ounces. I threw some charges with my powder thrower and it seems as if Hogdon just accidentally gave me more than a pound in that bottle. Here's the lot number on it
1112811
4999
I have yet to shoot any powder from this specific "heavy" can. The others from that lot number were fine.

It looks like it was a mix of Varget and a slower burning powder, that they have not ID the other power. It was a odd can out of the lot but the other cans have work fine. Sill do not know how it got cross contaminated. I am dam lucky it was a slower burning powder.

Any chance you load with H4350 too? Looks a whole lot like Varget (though the kernels are heavier) and if you had it mixed in there it would definitely slow things down a whole lot.

no just IMR4320 and BLC-2

I wonder if they will issue a recall for that lot of powder? I would think they would be loathe to have canisters such as your floating around out there.

I don't understand how only some containers from the same lot could be contaminated. After all, what's the "lot" system for if not to ensure only one tightly-controlled batch of powder was used to fill those containers?

In fact, they are so serious about their lot QC system, I would think that they suspect the consumer somehow inadvertently mixed the two powders by having two containers open at the same time on the bench.

somebody change the powder I am thinking at the re-seller, The cap was different than the other cans and looks like there was a label on it, there is sticky residue on the can. I am going to give them a call.

Will thanks for posting this, can you say who the vendor is? I most recently picked up some Varget from Midsouth Shooter. I'm 2lbs into it no problems.

I bought it from Bruno and they say they can not do any thing about it.
That's not conducive for future prospect business imo

How many people work at Brunos? They can't be that large an organization. I'm trying to visualize their operation, and how this could have happened while they had the powder. It would make more sense if it had been out on a shelf at a FLSGS, where folks off the street had access to it.
