that is a cool idea although there is the different size bolthead (bigger than 308?). i imagine it would be close enough to work with 308 base size.

The difference 0.007 so it works fine.

The cool thing with the Swede small ring actions you can rethread remington 700 takeoff barrels to fit.

No need to drill. Go to BadAce Tactical. They have a No Drill/Tap mount, fts in rear sight location. Normal eye relief scope mount. I put one on my M38, works great. Took me 10 minutes to install and I have NO mechanical skills.

I have read and studied those a little. I have a non collectible Swedish M, that I am determined to DT, I may even use bigger screw bases, even though it may not be needed. That normal eye relief may be the winner though.

I have shot thousands of rounds thru my swede actions, 308, 25-06 6,5x55 8x57. No problems
