That does get annoying, so does the high pitched whine of the VFD while I still have some hearing. My new shop will have the motor in another room. Won't ever hear it.

If your VFD's whine, up the setting for carrier frequency. My 17", 7.5hp lathe ramps up to speed in 3.0.seconds on a 30a single phase breaker and runs quite with no issues.

I have a 40hp and a 60hp phase converters. You guys whining about listening to a measly 7.5hp is funny. Nothing like running 5 motors for 3 CNC's.
