Don Quixote Elesio 223a

What are the new bbl specifics?!?
In for the range reports.

The barrel is my barrel in 223A. I wanted to be able to test my prefits, so I traded for another Elisio chassis and a Remington 700 223 action (from Accurate shooter forum classifieds). I figured a 223A practice rifle is a good investment considering the price of components. Besides I wanted to show some groups from my barrel.

I just adding another new UMR and just started playing with the scope position, and it does seem to want high rings as well. (This one is for XTC so 26” for Offhand and Sitting Rapids.)

I have a dedicated Prone one as well for MidRange and LongRange, and the scope sits high on that one too. I just got that one toward the beginning of last year and have not shot it in a match. I’ll say that I find myself still playing with ergonomics, but the changes all seem to help with the hold and my duration so I don’t mind it. The Elesio UMR is something I regret not doing much sooner. They feel like you are cheating....

I’ve come to where I keep scope mounting hardware on hand all the time because I hate to wait for it to show up if I am in the middle of roughing out a new rig or stock change.

Aside from a Tubb2000, this Elesio UMR is awesome for playing with bbls and ergonomics. It makes work like UrbanRifleman is doing a lot of fun. If you are ever at a match or range where one is out, ask to give it a try.
