Does Neolube #2 stay on the inside of case necks during annealing

Does neolube #2, once applied to the inside of case necks to facilitate bullet seating, stay on after firing and after case annealing or does it need to be reapplied at each reload. Is neolube applied like this safe during annealing, i.e., is there a vapor safety concern when exposed to annealing heat?

Alcohol will flash off during annealing (or burn off) if it hasn't evaporated before getting to the flame.

I don't know about the carbon (or graphite if you prefer.)

I would hazard a guess that the vapor danger would be the same annealing or not.

Divingin - I would use Neolube #2 on the inside necks of virgin brass, and each time after shooting it, I would anneal the brass, meaning the isopropyl alcohol would long ago be evaporated. I am primarily concerned about the possibility of hazardous vapors when heating the graphite formula during annealing, though I can't think of such a concern being associated with heating graphite/carbon.

The Neolube graphite leaves a carbon residue after firing that is very similar to the one you would find if you didn't use it. It is conductive but so thin after firing it really doesn't make any difference to the question at hand. The carrier is so volatile and gone so quickly that it isn't an issue.

If you want the coefficient of friction benefit, you would need to re-apply it on each loading, but ideally that is done after annealing.

Graphite works similar to MoS2, but is opposite in terms of humidity. Graphite works best in breathing air that contains some humidity, and MoS2 works best in very very dry gas. If graphite is very very dry, it becomes an abrasive, as long as the air has some humidity, the graphite is a lubricant.
