Does it really matter which bushing die?

Mandrel expansion is better than no expansion.

No expander at all....or at least not one that touches the neck. If it's expanding the neck back up after the bushing sizes it down...there's your trouble.

Huh...I'm gonna try that. My 6.5x47l loaded neck is .2885. Do you think a .290 bushing should give .002 neck tension?

If you want .002" tension, use a bushing that's .002 smaller than your loaded round...No expander button.
