I AM LOOKING FOR A RECIPE OF POSSIBLE HOUSE HOLD CLEANERS TO BRIGHTEN BRASS AND CLEAN IT IN AN ULTRASONIC CLEANER? Sorry caps lock was stuck > >:

Jon, go back in the archived articles and read Jason Baney ultrasonic cleaning article. good article with a few different formulas. cliffe

jon,
same a s cliffe said... please read baneys article but beware that i found these cases come out "squeaky" clean. i think they are too clean. i think that the necks are "grippy" on the projo. i think that the cases come out just as clean by using the stainless pin media, but without the sticktion. the crummy thing is the $$ out put for the tumlers tumbler required for the STM process. the end result is just better with tthe pin media IMHO...
cheers

Baney's vinegar and baking soda formula works well. But, I'm now sold on Citranox. You dilute it 1:40, so a gallon lasts forever and it cleans amazing well, leaves the brass fairly shiny and requires fewer cycles. It is definitely the schnizzle.

Citranox is the way to go with a Ultra Sonic...
I used it in my big US until I got wind of the SS media and tried it.
I'll continue to use the US for cleaning gun parts, and the tumbler and S/S media for cleaning my brass...
