Does anyone have a grizzly gunsmith lathe?

Danny, my point was if you and David get your guns chambered with with Grizzly's, then if someone else were to have a problem with the way a gun chambered on one shoots then maybe, just maybe problem isn't the lathe.

I'd just about have to say +4 on that, based on other comments!

Say, I know that you have moved away from us, but are you coming down for the 3x600 at Tullahoma this Sunday? Better bring your windshield wipers if you do!

I'm afraid my first match might not be until the Sinclair's at Butner in May. There are currently no other matches scheduled with in 12 hours of here between now and then (and its more than 12 hours to Butner, but I like shooting Full Bore, and if I'm going to travel I may as well shoot for a week)

Thanks for the feedback. I already own a 13" southbend and my buddy has a thing with tail stocks. Mine is a little loose the further you wheel it out so he thinks you cant cut a decent chamber with it. However if it is locked it is fine. I am thinking even if there is a little slop in the quill bore and using a self centering reamer holder what difference would it make as the reamer going into the bore self centers so to speak once it gets in the bore with a barrel dialed in tight. What do you think?
My first lathe I purchased when I started two years ago was a SB 13". I didn't know much then but I learned a lot pretty quick. Soon enough I figured out I'd have to get something to actually do some lathe work. Purchased a Grizzly 14-40 gunsmith lathe. It has served me well so far and is plenty accurate for what I need. I think it's a great lathe to start with. The SB is in many parts at this time and I believe it will be a great lathe when I get it rebuilt. That may be awhile though.
