DOA Shooting Bench

my homemade portable tables do not rotate........

two layers of 3/4" plywood that measure 24" wide x 38" long.....

1.25" threaded pipe legs 31" long..RH shooter cutout only

no problem adjusting table to different shooting positions or height

Shooting bench? What'll they think of next. In 70 years of shooting Pdawgs the hood of my truck has never let me down.. Just throw a small throw rug on there and let em rip tater chip..

Most all of these work fine for prairie dogs where smaller caliber rifles are used. I shoot groundhogs with much more throw weight and found the BR PIVOT to be very good up to about 800 yds. I extended that to more like 1100 by adding an adjustable small pipe to the very back end of the table top. For extreme shooting your weight has to be countered for superb accuracy. If you do not have the the seat attached to the unit, it is foolproof. Add your weight with attached seat and you have another variable.I usually scanned from the rotating bench and took shots off a heavier conventional bench.

Another satisfied DOA bench customer. We own three of their benches with 6 different tops. They have been abused and bounced across country several times and continue to work as designed. They are a over built product that will last and provide long term functionality.

Needless to say we enjoy ours.

Ryan

thats too funny......sure the truck hood may work in a pinch.......

not a big tall 3/4 ton truck.....a serious p/dog or g/hog shooter wants

a table with a comfortable chair to sit on..whether it rotates or not

portability is the key factor...pick up & move to different angle or section of the field......

throw in the back of the truck bed for a quick field change.......

just watch these little ballsy guys at your feet............

Well there, Mark......

1. Elbow pads are available for those who choose to use them. (I've never needed them.)
2. Mounting a seat with backrest invites tipping over backwards, but many install them anyway. (Never needed it, never wanted it.)
3. Once a shooter plops his weight down on these benches, the shooters own weight preloads the entire assembly, making them as stable as a fixed multi-leg bench. Really.
4. Before criticizing the design with no experience whatsoever, perhaps you may want to consider actually shooting from one of these units then list your gripes based on what you actually gain from the time spent on one.

As of this year, I've spent 21 years shooting from my personal bench of this design. That's hours and hours, days and days.....21 rat shooting seasons with no fatigue, no raw elbows, sore arse or any other malady, just memories of great shoots and good times with my friends.
Jus' sayin'...... :)
I am sure your bench is great. Some people with bad lower backs need a seat with back support. It can get quite uncomfortable after 20 minutes of sitting. Matt
