Maybe the 70s but I wouldn’t expect much accuracy out of the 80s or 85s.Looking at a rifle in the classifieds 6x45 with a 1 in 13.5 twist, only had 58 gr bullets shot thru it, I have a ton of 70 and 80, 85 gr slugs and a few 60 gr . Hate to have to buy another weight bullet just to scratch an itch.
It won't work for any 80's I've seen. Yes, up to about 70, though. I've shot several 70gr sierras from a 13.5 and a boat load of 74 Bergers, when they made those. in both 13.5 and 14 twists. But a 13.5 won't work with any 80 I know of, by quite a bit. It's by far mostly about bullet length.Looking at a rifle in the classifieds 6x45 with a 1 in 13.5 twist, only had 58 gr bullets shot thru it, I have a ton of 70 and 80, 85 gr slugs and a few 60 gr . It’s all about length. With a flat base hollow point you’d probably be good up to 75gr. Boattail tipped bullets are a different story.Looking at a rifle in the classifieds 6x45 with a 1 in 13.5 twist, only had 58 gr bullets shot thru it, I have a ton of 70 and 80, 85 gr slugs and a few 60 gr .
