Do you name your favorite guns?

I did. "Tater" is my Ruger Blackhawk (SA) chambered in .357 & "Miss Betsey" is my nickle plated 1911 clone chambered in .45 ACP.

But I generally save the more colorful names for guns I am not liking....

Not many, just one and I sold it years ago. It was a Stevens 311 12ga double with double triggers. I referred to it as “Meat in da Pot”.

I only name my fishing poles. My wife has a few pet names for a couple of my guns, (money pit ) comes to mind. ( mumbled something the other day ) was another .

In return Ive helped rename a couple of his rifles. He has one with black carbon fiber with a silver weave I named “Shad” or Trash Fish.

He has one with his Army called
HeadHunter-6, Ive gifted it the name
Firer-Form 6 which is what it dies mostly.

I’m shooting “Bacon” at the World Open in the morning. Minutes after picking it up from the FFL dealer, a loose pig being chased by it’s owner ran across the road right in front of me. It seemed fitting, besides I love bacon.

I don't generally name guns but a prairie dog shooting companion named my two Weatherby SVMs in 22-250 Death Ray 1 and Death Ray 2.
He said it was a fitting name for two of the most deadly lasers he had ever seen.
