distance between accuracy nodes?

Is there a rough rule of thumb as to how far apart (in grains) accuracy nodes occur? Or how many nodes one generally can find as you progress thru loads from minimum to max charges.

I am sure that case capacity influences this, so for the sake of discussion lets say for a 30 '06.

Thank you.

No... there is nothing that can tell you what will happen... i usually see two to three nodes on an inital testing... just wating the vertical... not the horrizontal.. no rule of thumb its different for every gun..

I usually watch the chronograph and use the bullet speed to determine accuracy nodes. Dont really care what the charge weight of any powder is. For large caliber rifles I usually see a node around 2750-2850 fps, then around 2950-3050 fps, and finally 3150-3200+ fps.

Could those speed nodes be a result from certain incremental charge weight increases as well? I believe so because the speed nodes always seem to be pretty evenly spaced in my experience.
