Dillon 750xl

Is the extra $ worth it for the Dillon 750xl? I have a lee progressive that sucks ballz. So finicky that i cant run more than 3 rounds with out it fouling.

If you want a progressive, the 750 is superior. I only personally know 1 individual who ever had success with a Lee Progressive.

A 1050 or 1100 are even better. I run 1050's on Mark 7 Auto Drives. They are fantastic.

Like stated above the 750 is way more progressive press than the Lee, it is definitely worth the $$$ Even what I have the old 650 is way more press than the Lee. If you can find a 650 for a good price it would be worth it, unless you just wanted brand new the 750 is the improved 650 and worth the $$$

I agree the 750 will be a significant upgrade, but.....

Just going to say that there is almost no such thing as a progressive press that runs perfectly.... just the nature of the beast.

That said, to be fair to Lee they have some products that are very valuable even if they are fiddly and often frustrating. Your Dillon 750 is more expensive but clearly less fiddly. YMMV

I have two 550's they are great. I just checked the prices and if I were buying a new press today it would be the 750..

I bought a 550 30 some years ago to replace a Lee progressive that had infuriated me. I have been nothing but happy with the Dillon.
If I were starting from scratch now, it would definitely be a 750.

Ive got a650 550 and square deal. Like em all. Id get a hopper on the 750. If it doesnt come with it. It will speed things up. Doug
