Digital calapiers

I'm looking at getting a digital caliper as seeing the little .001 marks on a dial caliper are getting harder and harder to see. I've see the cost range from $ to $$$$,
Your thoughts ??

Thanks

The generic cheap imports you see from $15. to $35. all seem to be identical and made at the same factory just the logos appear different and they are amazingly accurate even compared to a $120. Mitutoyo that I used to verify it. Of course the Mitu is a tad bit smoother to operate and if money is no object then they are nice but unless you need that 4 th decimal (.0001) fuggedaboutit.
I really bought a pair of imports for a backup to my Mitu's and was hesitant to trust them and took a chance but the cheapos allow me to easily and repeatedly bump shoulders back .0015 (corrected thanks) every time.

I hope that you mean ".0015". ;)

Go up on Ebay and see whats available. Now and then you see a really nice one and not the usual junk stuff.

I understand what you are talking about with the dial. I went by our city garage one day and spoke with the guys. They have been using the electronic version from Cornwell Tools. It is available online for $46.95. The model number is: FW741011502. I have been using it since October of last year.

It measures out three numbers to the right of the decimal (1.125) and if there is a remainder, well it displays it by dropping down and to the right in the display. I have definitely put it to use, in the past 4 weeks I have measured over 4k casings. I definitely recommend it.
