Different loads for different Yardage?

So I was shooting a practice F-class shoot today and shot at 300 and 600. Out of 20 at each range I shot a 193-7X, and 600 was 196-9X.

I'm relatively new to the long range game, but was thinking, would it be worth it to try and tailor each load for each range, instead of what I'm doing now which is just a good load that seems to shoot well at both?

And to follow up on that, would a specific load for each of the 8,9 and 1,000 yard loads be worth the effort, or in general is a good 800 yard load going to perform similar at 9 and 1,000?

Been down that road. Some will say yes many no. Never fails in the "Big" match your going to bring the wrong ammo to the line. You may have one load for 3, 5, 600 yds and another for 8, 9, 1K. Me? I use one load for every yard line. makes things much simpler.

I shoot alot of Mid range prone at 300 500 and 600 yards. I develop a load for the 600 yard line and dont worry about the closer yardages as it hammers at those yard lines as well.
Same goes for Palma as you mentioned 800 900 and 1000 yards or the Palma Course of Long Range in the US. If it shoot at 1000 yards it really will shoot at 800 and 900 especially since the scoring rings do not decrease in size at the 800 and 900 yard line, its the same big X ring that it is at 1000 yard line. As my coach calls the 800 yard line the bunny hill.

People pointed out that the across the course NRA highpower shooters shoot two loads as they require to shoot a ripid fire string at 200 and 300 yards which means magazine length needs to feed and function prefectly. Hence the two loads. 600 is slow prone like Fclass for them.

Welcome to the sport.
