I was looking on Berger's website at the different 105 bullets. I'm confused & surprised a little on the different BCs they have listed.
105 hunting vld is listed with a G1 of .532 and G7 of .272
105 vld target BT match bulllet is G1, .493 & G7 .253
105 vld match is listed with a G1 .493 but a G7 of .251
It appears that the hunting bullet has the highest BC of them all. I was under the impression that the 105 vld match bullet was the best 105? Nothing that I have been told. Just one of those assumptions. I'm also surprised that the 105 match BT bullet has a bit higher G7 than the 105 vld match bullet. I am really surprise as to how much higher the BC is on the hunting bullet than the target bullets. The 105 vld match BT,and the vld match bullet do not have that much higher of a BC than the 95gr vlds witch is .486. So going from what is writen on paper as to BC what is the reality of the best 105gr bergers? As to real life accuracy in your experenice? Looking to shoot one of the 105s in comp out of my 6br. 600yrd will be my main choice for the 6br, but I will have to shoot it at 1000yrds until I can get my two other barrels in from Broughton, so I can have them chambered for the 6brx, or the dasher. My main concern here is to pick the best 105 bullet for my 6br. I want all my bullets from the same lot so I will probably order them in a qnty. of 1500 or 2000.
Thanks
Mark
