Difference between Sako Quad & Finnfire, is their any?

The newer Sako Finnfire and Quad rifles that they are producing today are their any differences in the actions as far as being able to drop 1 or the other in the same aftermarket stock? It looks like the newer Finnfires have the interchangable barrels as the Quad does but is their an actual difference in the action? I see that the older P94 Finnfires do not have the quick barrel change as the new one,s they are producing but do the P94 actions have the same foot print as the new Quad actions to?

The original Finnfire and Quad actions have a different footprint, and stocks are not interchangeable. I do not know about any new or recent rendition of the Finnfire.

The latest version of the Sako that you are talking about is known as the Sako Finnfire II which is the same action as the Sako Quad. The main difference is the Quad still has the ability to swap out the barrels where the Finnfire II does not have that option. The Finnfire II only comes in the Sporter version, no varmint model.
