Difference Between Nightforce Gold and White Lettering ?

Hi Guys
I know there is a color difference but Scope quality ?
both are BR 12X42 np2dd I have had white letter for a while
just bought a gold letter from a friend who has competed very well
with that scope on his Rifle .. I have noticed that the gold lettered
scopes seem to take longer to sell used here and other places and
are usually a little less priced . Just wondering Why that is ?

Gold is older than white...that's it.

Since nightforce is such a young company so to speak they seem to improve their product every year, so the older you go the older the technology they had available to them. Bottom line they are a excellent scope and as along as you don't over pay for them you will have one of the best available today.

I've had both, shot side by side, and could not see a difference.

Except for the color of the lettering........

I have both and no difference in performance or quality. As mentioned by Judd the gold lettered scopes are older models. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe the gold lettered scopes are mid 90's..

They were gold until just a few years ago..maybe 5-6 years.

I have two with white and one with gold. The only difference I can tell is that the white markings are easier for me to see. Glass quality and tracking are the same as far as I can tell.
