Dies won't thread into Press

All you guys have tricks of the trade. We did too but it was a different trade. Ive seen old carpenters that would use a punch on a framing square to make them squarer than they were. A ball peen and an anvil works better on a square.

I finally got to use my Prazipress with the bushing @jackieschmidt made for me. It worked great! The Co_Ax would on occasion give me .002" variance, the Prazi had .001" rarely. Most of the time it was within .0005" or exact, assuming I am that good with my Mitituyo digital calipers. I think the biggest variance occurs based on how much Imperial Sizing Wax I use on the case.

Would you possibly have any interest in making another one of those? I have no idea when the replacement bushing for mine may come from Germany and I’m in the same boat with the Prazipress

I can't imagine paying 1k for a press and having to do all this. What does this thing do that a 100 dollar Rockchucker won't do?

The purpose of a press is to force a case into a die, nothing more and nothing less. When sizing a case the shellholder is designed to allow the case to float in the X and Y and Z axis so the case will self align to the sizing die without damaging the case walls or web of a case. Ultimate Reloader's test simply show how well the press is machined. The quality of the dies used and the case preparation are the determining factors of the quality of the ammo produced
