Dies / loads

HI CAN ANYONE LET ME KNOW THE CORRECT DIES FOR 6MM NORMA BR AS I'M HAVING TROUBLE IN ACQUIREING THEM.

AM I BEST WITH NECK OR FULL LENGHT DIES.

I'D ALSO LIKE A GOOD LOAD FOR 1,OOOYDS/MTR. LOAD DATA.

Short of a custom set of dies, 6BR Rem dies work fine. The only real difference is the neck length, which won't matter as far as the dies go. Redding Competition or Forrester dies seem to be quite popular.

Here is some load data:

OK as already said Redding dies get a competition seater ans a type S bushing full length sizing die so you can shange bushings to adjust the neck tension. if you have a no turn neck a .266 or .267 bushing will work for you. Use Lapua cases Remington 7 1/2 BR primers or CCI 450 primers. Sierra 107gr MatchKing or similar weight then start at 28.5gr Varget and work up to 30gr if it is safe in your rifle jam the projectiles about 10 thou into the lands and you should be good to go.

Just watch for pressure and carefully go up to a safe level in your rifle. Their are many combinations that will work in a 6mmBR and others will be able to give you more data but this load works well in most barrels. Also go to the home page there is a link to a 6mmBR load data page.
