Die set-up in press: reloading-101 question?

OCD= Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. In laymans terms: Being extremely finicky And precise about what you do to the point that you can't stop yourself. Why it's a " disorder"? Well, I don't think those head doctors shoot much. I'm right here, reading, guys. Thanks for the great input.

+1

Makes life a lot easier.

Because you are working with a precise measurement of .0015 there may be some noticeable change due to the heating of the metal when you impart heat from your hands and fingers into the die as you repeatedly make adjustments

Thanks Josh, 60-some years ago I had to come to grips with the idea that I might be somewhat of a perfectionist. Too much extra time to do any task I set out to accomplish, just to make sure I'd done my very best. (Quite honestly, it served me quite well for a lifetime). Back in the 1950s, we didn't have "disorders", just numerous adjectives to describe someone's quirky or unusual habits. Now that I have been informed that I do have a named disorder, probably caused by someone else's actions or neglect or something (certainly not of my own doing), there must be some (possibly financial) benefit that I'm entitled to. Aw, what the hell, maybe I"ll just go prep some more cases and get ready for a little more pleasant weather to enjoy what I've always enjoyed.

Now you're just trying to drive me crazy! ::)

Sorry Josh, Any external influence of a temperature differential, whether it be on the measured part, the measuring instrument, or anything else can have an effect when you start measuring to .0005".
