Die choice

The ONLY thing that I don’t care for on Forster bushing dies is that their bushings are a different size than everyone else so if I use someone else bushing dies I need a different set of bushings.

Why not the sinclair micrometer? Id rather have it because i can transfer it over to another die when i get interested in something else. I can buy the blanks or non micrometer dies alot cheaper
I don't think they are on the same level as the Wilson micrometers. If transferring is what you are after then I suppose it may make sense. For me, if I lose interest in something than it just migrates to a drawer until I decide to use it again, or until I am completely done with it and decide to sell it.

I use a Redding Type-S neck/body die set. I got this set because I planned on/am converting 308 brass for 6.5CM and also use the same bushing for another 6.5 based round. If I was shooting factory brass I would get a FL sizer and a comp seater, any brand will really do.

For my 6.5 RPR I reload using a set of Hornady dies with micrometer seater. I use the full length sizer on new brass. I also have a 6.5mm Hornady Neck sizing die for brass that's already been used and fire formed from the rifle. The dies have been excellent and don't break the bank.

Buy what you can afford and let your ability catch up. I am a newbie and started with Forester and Redding but look forward to to Whidden Dies.
