Did everyone give up on BJ bullet

Thanks for posting! I think that's the question of the OP - whether the 131BJ is BR quality enough for 1K BR.

That, I cannot confirm - being a 25 Cal. fanatic, I have been hopeful, that enough people would test the waters, to create some opportunity. :D

My primary concern regarding the BJ project, is the nearly insane bullet lengths (but, this is common over all calibers), thus extremely fast twist-rate requirements. I believe that we've reached the point of diminishing returns: precision is being sacrificed at the alter of ballistic co-efficient.:D At some point, the shooter has to saddle the load. . .

The .25 Cal. doesn't/didn't need such a radical initiation into competitive shooting - it simply needs a following of dedicated, competent competitors, using well balanced cartridges and precision rifles. There are bullets of BR quality - they're just not everywhere, which is what BJ was/is attempting to establish - competitive precision - that's what they have to prove! My hat is off to them. :) RG

While there may not be a huge following in the BR or F class yet, the 131BJ is certainly picking up steam in the PRS and steel world. I have a 25-06, 25 creedmoor and a 25SAUM all built around this bullet with fast twist barrels. They will all hold 1/2" or better at 100 pretty easily, and don't seem to have much trouble keeping it inside 3-4" at 600yds. I run them all hard, the 25-06 at 3200, 25C at 2950 and the 25 SAUM at 3400. I think it'll take some time and a little effort for the shooters to find out that they are competitive. The sample size is just so small right now that it looks like they aren't capable, but I can assure you that they are.

All I here is words - Where’s your proof ? Match results, picture of load development, ladder tests ? .....

Here's a couple tuning targets from 300yds a couple weeks back. 1in grid squares. I feel like this shows promise....
