Got a couple cheap test indicators here for sale.
Anytime Tools brand

1/2” long stem
1/64” diameter contact ball
Unknown brand name

Both function good and come in a box.
I put them on an indicator checker. The unknown brand name compared favorably to a mitutoyo of similar model. The anytime tools indicator wasn’t as good as its B&S counterpart but for what you need it for it may serve you well (for a fraction of the price). Like checking runout or if .001 accuracy is sufficient.
