Devcon or JB weld for bedding

Any reason JB weld won't work as good as Devcon? I realize the Devcon is thicker, and probably easier to use. The JB steel (regular) has a higher PSI strength when cured, and the temp rating is 550F VS the Devcon 250F. Seems like the same release agents work. Any feedback would be appreciated.

JB weld is perfect for a good solid bedding job. A good friend and gunsmith told me a secret and I'll let you in on it ;) Break the action loose after about 6-8 hours and you can trim the semi hard JB with ease. Then put it back in the stock for the JB to complete the solidification. This cuts out the need to mill or gring the excess material that is super hard. I think JB is a pleasure to work with and gives you ample time to do the job right without needing to rush. I've always mixed 50/50.
