Derraco competition shell holder set, Infos/advices.

Made in Australia and excellent quality. Stainless steel, twice heat treated at 300 C. Perfect fit on my Alpha brass. I can update this as I use them more. Ugly Reloading is their distributor in the US but they can also be had on Amazon. Of the 3 reloading items I have that they make, I am more than happy with the quality and performance.
Ok good deal

Hadn't noticed the graduated shell holders til I read this. Redding are about 40.00 cheaper in Cda last I looked, 99-109.00 Cdn, dependng on the store. Amazon Cda wants 149.95 cdn, so, that ain't happening. I just got a PCPS a couple of wks ago from Derraco direct from Aus, 305.00 landed, with 3 primer tubes, 324.00 on Amazon with no tubes.

Derraco are available here , better availability than the Redding competition shellholders and cheaper . May buy a set for comparison . The Ugley Annealer also looks like a better alternative to my Annealeez , some good looking products .

I have that seating die also. It does a fine job IF the small pins in the bushings are removed. They are used to hold the bullet but I started getting increased runout and removed mine and it went back to perfect seating. When the pins are removed, you will have to raise you ram so that the case starts into the bushing before dropping in the bullet

I got this set of shell holders today and they fit perfectly in my Redding Big Boss 2 press. No problem at all. Very nice set. My Redding competition set is now retired.
Good news!
Why retired your Redding?
Derraco are well made respect Redding?

Have you ever considered Skip Shims as an alternative? They fit under the lock ring of the die. You can use them with any die and caliber of die.

I've used them for years as a means to make F/L die sizing adjustments without having to change the lock ring on the die. The set consists of the following thicknesses: .010, .008, .007. .006, .005, .004 and .003.

The best part is that they are inexpensive. I purchased mine through Sinclair many years ago, so I am not sure who markets them now.
Yes the shims can make a job but I don't find on browsnell...

I don’t even know why they put threads on dies anymore…… nobody but me apparently uses them!

As I said, it was quite a while ago that I ordered them. I think there are some other vendors now offering them. Perhaps some other members can chime in. I'll see if I can find an alternative vendor.

Maybe you can post a separate thread asking for info from other members. In the meantime, if I find a source I will PM you.
