There was a bad egg warden near here that got a tip that there was an illegal deer hanging in a barn. The only thing he found in that barn was several guys that beat the crap out of him.

WOW, REALLY GUYS, I've the UTMOST RESPECT for the DNR,GFP. It's a TOUGH job. If youall think you can do better SIGNUP an TRY IT....... If ya can't/won't do that then call one an go on a few ride alongs, I think you'll change your TUNE.

My cousin is a warden in Kansas near KC.

He says he spends most of time doing DWI checks (boats), and dealing with stupid a-holes with bad attitudes and worse lies. These folks get what they deserve. He finds it refreshing and surprising when he encounters somebody pleasant, honest and courteous. These folks also get what they deserve.

I always try to remember that law enforcement officers spend most of their day dealing with liars, drunks, idiots and bad-guys. Being the opposite has always worked out for me. "yes sir" "no sir" and a smile go a long ways.

California DFG has decided to drop the charge against the young bowhunter. They have returned the cape and rack to him, the meat was given away. He is submitting the rack for a potential Ca. record for mule deer. The game warden was reprimanded and suspended for 60 days without pay. It's a shame the bowhunter had to go through this and lose the meat, but it worked out well. The frame when confiscated scored 149 nontypical, 145 typical. 4X8 with four symmetrical points on the right and eight nontypical on the left with split eye guards.
