Denver Instrument TP-153 Scale

I see that Denver Instrument is advertising the TP-153 on this site. I was wondering if anyone has purchased one, or conducted a review of it? I am leaning towards purchasing a nice mechanical scale instead of an electronic one after all that I have read about the vic-123/mxx-123, but want to get information on all my options before I make a purchase.

Thank you.

I had a bad experience with the MX-123 and traded it in for the TP-153 recently. Because I didn't pay for the TP-153 in one installment, and had suffered with the cheaper one for a while, I didn't mind the extra cost. The 153 exhibits none of the drift that I had with the cheaper one, using same location, power source, etc. Not sure it pays for itself in $$, but at least it does what the cheaper one was advertised to do.

Thanks for the reply Stuart.

I wish I had read more positive reviews of the mxx-123/vic-123. I realize the people that are mainly going to post about the scales are people having issues with them. Hopefully we'll see more good reports about the tp-153.
