Democrats introduce bill to ban online Ammo sales

I rather think that this is a minority opinion on this forum and the whole mess belongs somewhere else.

Oh really??? Nice dialogue.

The "majority" of shooters on this forum don't know who Bill Oreilly really is? I can tell you one thing, he is no conservative. He's a NEO CON... there's nothing conservative about the Neo Con movement that has hijacked the right wing. Do some research. Maybe turn off Fox for a week or two.

Everything I am saying is about gun control. Someone mentioned this tool BO and I said he is no friend to the "conservative" because he is not one. It's time to call these people out as the government shills they are. They are not your friend.

There are two parties... Them and Us. The media is not your friend. The government is not your friend. Political parties are not on your friends either!

"As a powerful movement, conservatism also attracted new members who were more interested in power than in principle. Some of these were called "neoconservatives" admirers of Roosevelt and recent supporters of Lyndon Johnson who cared nothing for limited government and the U.S. Constitution."

This may not be the forum to discuss the effects of the healthcare bill but you can listen to this to see how everyone will eventually be affected. Then you can decide whether you're in favor of it.

It was me (the original poster) that brought up Bill O. and I said in the original statement that he ISN'T a conservative, he just isn't known to be a flaming liberal either.

"Bill Oreilly was calling for more gun control a few nights ago. He isn't a conservative, but he isn't known to be a flaming liberal either".

well said and this is why the Republican party is in a state of disrepute. After 10+ years in power, they proved themselves every bit the big spenders that Dems are. The Tea Party is the response to the Republican party losing their way. Oops, did I change the topic? :)

I did not choose to debate at length what you said for two reasons. 1. I still don't feel it belongs here and 2. it is obvious from reading several of your posts over a period of months on this forum that your mind is not about to be changed. I could say plenty, but I will say no more on here. PM me if you must.

And...............getting back to the topic of the thread ::) ::) ::)

An attempt to ban the sale of Hangun Ammo by anything other than face-to-face with a Retailer (no mail, no internet) was tried in California.
AB962 had very little support, but it passed the legislature. The CRPA and NRA joined in a lawsuit and at trial the law was found to be unconstitutional and it was killed before implementation.

There was an organized, cooperative effort by our gun group members to make this thing die. Something to remember before dissing us Californians. Precedents can only help the case.

The stupidity of the U.S. Congress continues, only the topic changes.

80,000,000 Gun Owners----4,000,000 NRA members---less than 1,000,000 Gun Owners of America---Number of people that contact their reps--?? Number of people that run their mouths but don't vote--??
Why are we in this mess we are in?? GOD help us--sometimes I think HE is the only one that cares.

As of Jan. 1, 2013, it will cost me and all homeowners a 3.8% tax - payable in cash to the Federal Government- to sell my house.

Here an excample from Austria - a small country with 8,5 mil people (2,7% of the US) - the heart of sozialism democratie:

A person earn 1500 € per month.
minus sozial insurance: 386 €
minus tax: 73 €
Result: 1041 €

And when he is buying anything with the rest of the money, he must pay 20% VAT.
And when he is a house or flatowner, he must pay a tax between 0,2 and 1% of the house value every year.
The price for gasoline is about 1,6 € per liter (6 € per gallon) because we have a very high oil tax.
And next to many other taxes, we also have a very high tabaco tax - our state earn 1,5 Mrd € per year.

About 53% of the earned money in Austria is payed to the state in terms of taxes and our politicans are not able to manage this money so every working Austrian people has about 60.000 € national depts.

:) And it won`t get better so it`s best we concentrate to enjoy our hobby.

The FACTS : "D" rule by PRES and BOTH Houses since 1945......45-46, 49-52, 61-68, 79-80, 93-94, 2009-10
"R" " " " " " " " " ...... 2003- 06

20 years of political clout vs. 4........... Now who had the most influence on the "system" that got us here?

BTW.......Bill O'Reilly NEVER claimed to be a conservative

Why is discussing the smoke screen of the "conservative" sound machine concerning GUN CONTROL NOT "on topic"???

It's incredibly relevant. More relevant now than it HAS EVER BEEN!!! I know the Republicans don't like hearing that their politicians and media personalities work for the same people as the "Blue Team", but it's true. It's time for citizens to break the trance of that stupid glowing box and wake up to what is really happening, and GUNS is the first place they will come when the crap hits the fan. They will do it, and it will be Bi-partisan, and the sound machine will beat the drum with the sheeple until it happens.

We have got to be SMARTER than the Blue Team/Red Team paradigm... It's a sham, and the 2ND Amendment is the heart of our liberties. When they come for the guns, and they will (using your own sons to do it) it will be a Red AND Blue decision to do so...

"The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to the doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can "throw the rascals out" at any election without leading to any profound or extreme shifts in policy."

- Carrol Quigley, Tragedy and Hope
Bill Clinton's mentor at Georgetown

I think this is a good primmer on what is happening.

Because this isn't a political forum where the performance of two-party political systems is discussed ad nauseam?

Just guessing.
