Defiance actions

Is there going to be companies who purchase Defiance actions for resale and companies that use private branded Defiance actions for rifle builds that don't want to do business with Bob Beck?

Thanks for bringing this thread to my attention since I was thinking about purchasing one. Now I am not so sure. One of the selling points was a simple installatiom and if I have problems it will cause major delays or expense which I don't need. By the way, cost would be north of $1100 with bottom metal.
What are some good alternatives?
Thanks again.
I was just bringing that thread up in case anyone had missed it. It just sounds like not everything is the same as it was when Kelly was running it.

Corporate America, killing brick and mortar shops one at a time. Its inevitable it seems, if you have a small successful enterprise they eventually come. Makes you appreciate the guys who stick with it and keep their businesses running in tip top shape and out of the hands of the big Corps, hopefully the people who have been with Defiance continue to make it run as it has, they still have a vested interest in keeping their livelihood running.

Rumor has it Bob Beck has bought Defiance.
Sad day, found my excuse to buy a Bat next time I'm in need of an action.
I smell another Vista outdoors in the making.
Sad thing is 99.9 % of us would have done what Beck did wouldnt even be able to carry a firearm let alone own an FFL.
first of all i think it’s a joke we have to pay for a liscence to hunt deer. why should we have to pay to shoot one. i feed them year round, i pick up electric fence and insulators after them and i have to pay to shoot one?? what a crock. second of all getting a felony your guns and vehicle taken away for shooting a deer of either sex without a permit is Ridiculous .

This subject is no different from any of the other discussions about Corporate buyouts and new owners. If you happen to disagree with the new owner(s) or the Corporate structure or Corporate greed, simply stop buying.

I've been buying Defiance products, lots of them, since they opened their doors. Nothing will change in the short term, virtually none of the upper echelon employees will be let go and none of the product programming will be rewritten. The current owner obviously sees a method of making more profit with his own thinking that the previous owner(s) didn't consider. Otherwise, why else would he/they spend the amount of money this sale was asking? Certainly not to break even or God forbid, lose money.

We are blessed even in these days (years) of component shortages to have a large number of action manufacturers. The price range is substantial so there are many choices. Finding the one you prefer in stock may be a challenge due to demand so consider looking for the second layer of sellers or distributors who might have a larger quantity available.

Availability and quality of those actions on the market currently is why I closed my account. Complaining about the owner(s) won't solve this. Get busy researching your options and costs then make a well founded decision.

Enjoy the process!

:)

He wasn't charged with it because it was part of the plea deal.
He was charged with a misdemeanor, paid a fine, restitution, investigation costs, lost his license for a year and was invited back to Idaho to hunt by the DFG.

I'm waiting on my first Defiance barrelled action. I guess then I'll see firsthand what all the hullabaloo is about.
