Deer love bananas !!

Spending a few days at my son's getting some grounds work done. I noticed
the grandsons put out a salt lick and a trail camera to catch any critters. I started
seeing fruit flies in the kitchen and found an overly ripe bunch of bananas. I spread
them around on the back edge of the property where the deer trail is, and early
evening had a young doe sniffing around them. As it got dark, 3 where close by
the lick and bananas. This morning, there was no trace of the bananas !! Who would
have thought ??

Ya them deer don't "monkey around" when it comes to bananas.

Pumpkins in the late season is an incredible place to hang a stand. Deer stomp the pumpkins open when they get over ripe and soft. They love them.

I have a fox that comes through every evening and I will feed it bits of hot dogs. One night I tossed out some pieces of hot dog and a young buck that hangs around are every piece before the fox could get too it.

Years ago my wife and I were living in a house in the woods that her grandparents owned. I was throwing food scraps at the edge of the woods when I got to wondering what was eating the scraps. I raked an 8’ circle in the leaves and smoothed the fresh dirt, so that I could see any tracks and then I dumped out some left over hamburger helper in the center fully expecting to see coyote or dog tracks the next morning. I when I checked it out I was surprised to see nothing but deer tracks in the dirt. That was before trail cameras were widely available, but I would have liked to have had a picture of a deer eating hamburger helper.
