Deer Hunting, what is the perfect shot placement?

Perfect shot placement to me is that he never moves from where he is shot. Break major bones is the best. I never have lost one that was shot that way. I shot one with a bow that the string hit my arm and hit him in the ham. I lucked out it got the Femur artery . It went 70 yds and folded That is a perfect shot also. Braking major bones is the best shot. Larry

I prefer to angle in from behind the facing shoulder toward the off shoulder , but head shots are not ethical in my opinion whither one can make them or not.. There are just better places to aim and shoot to my thinking...

I have seen animals walk away from a neck shot and never be recovered. Head shot is also a big risk. Me? Double lung.. Gets em every time

On a head shot, you could damage the horns (shriek heard like when Faber College people "hurt" Delta House's beer)

High in the shoulder and there is no tracking. If you have a bullet with enough back bone to drive thru the shoulders that is the key.
