Deer Fence / Repellent / alternative?

A couple of those motion sensor talking fish hidden in the corn would scare the crap out of them! Lol don’t they make a barking dog version?

When that corn is ready it’s pretty much every man for himself!!

Now that would be worth putting a trail cam there to see how fast they'd scatter. WD :D:D:D

I would love to see that too. May just have order one or two and set them up.
That would be good to put in your buddies box stand so when he arrives at "0" dark thiry" it will scare the crap out him and all the critters.
thats hilarious
lol!!

I decided to go with solar powered electric. Tractor Supply has a sale on a unit so slammed down the credit card and went big.. I put up two rows of "3/4" conductive tape. First row/ strand is 20" and 2nd row back 36" has a low strand at 18" and top strand is 30".

Don't ferget the peanut butter!

I can’t get them to eat peanut butter in central Missouri, I screwed 4 jars to a tall stump and they wouldn’t touch it for nothing. Must only work where there is peanut growing
you have to take the tops off the jars,,

Peanut butter? don't won't to do anything that draws them goats closer to my sunflowers.
Is this peanut butter like the kid one finds at a grocery store? "JIF?" those kinds are loaded with fat ( lard) I suppose deer would like it.. they sure could smell it.

Milorganite will repel deer. Spread on food plots deer seem to avoid the area and stay away until the milorganite is diluted in the soil, gives plants enough time to get established. In my experience it seems to last over a month.
this is the product that I use, and it works. IN my area, a large bag is less than $30. I have deer in my yard every night eating Water oak acorns, but they stay out of the garden! Here is my method of using the product:

broadcast fairly heavy within 10' of the garden's edge, then dribble down the middle of the rows. One heavy application seems to do the trick, they learn not to come near the garden, even with green beans, Okra, and peas planted.

Our garden is relatively close to the house, can you smell it?

No, you can not smell it! This fertilizer really works. Folks that have trouble with it probably are not using enough. We have a LOT of deer in the yard and pasture. The deer wait till the horses get through with their nightly feeding, come up and get the left overs, which the horses do not mind at all.

I broadcast the fertilizer by hand, nothing fancy.

The big one that looks like a frantic human is in front of the house where the deer were eating rose bushes, trees, etc. I had to wire it through a light sensor and motion detector because it was keeping EVERYTHING out of the front yard and my wife likes the geese, birds, etc. during the day. Now it lies folded on the ground all day but at night when something gets within 20-30 feet it jumps up and goes wild. A little noisy also.

The battery operated one is in my garden plot behind the house. Ordered it with a motion detector and solar charger. I'm hoping to have some tomatoes for the first time in years.

These things will attract neighbors and passersby if they see them in action.

THAT's freakin' AWEsome!

Checked on corn field and planted sunflower. No deer in sunflower. El fence may be working. But I checked on the sliver queen corn and GMO corn I planted and the damn deer are eating the tops off the corn. SO, I'm done. Just ordered a Pulsar XP 38..

So when can I expect my shipment of sunflower seeds? I like bacon flavored. Let me know where to send the money to confirm your are loosing $$$ on the deer eating your crop.

Bacon flavored? Maybe venison?
Here's the sunflower. Lot of skips where the seed washed out with 4.5" ( inches / not twist) of rain..
