DEEP CREEK Missoula Format change for 2018 1000 yard benchrest season

Northwest 1000 yard bench rest club in recent years has shot a relay based shoot off format, but we will be implementing a 2 target agg format under IBS rules for both heavy class and light class this season 2018. What this change means is all shooters will shoot 2 targets a day per class to determine daily winners. We hope this will draw shooters that like to shoot a little more while participating at a 1000 yard bench rest venue, as well as regulars shooting Deep Creek Range. I am looking forward to more opportunity at competing against some of the best in the nation. This format will give prospective shooters time to master an agg format before the IBS 1000 nationals which Deep Creek Missoula and North west 1000 yard club will be hosting in August 2018. We are aware of the pros and cons of all shooting formats but hope this format will draw old shooters and new to our shooting club in the mountains of Montana.

Yes, just for 2018 then we will be back to our traditional August championship match 2019 season with the same famed prize table. this year 2018 the IBS nationals will be one in the same as our normal championship weekend with a great prize table etc. only major difference will be 3 target agg per weight class via IBS 1000 yard rules. we hope to have our same August participation with the benefit of shooters coming to shoot a national event as well, should be a lot of fun I hope those who can schedule this event into there yearly shooting schedule do as this is the first time this IBS 1000 yard national event has ever been hosted in the Northwest corner of the US before so make your plans guys and gals not sure when it will be back in the north west.

LG & HG groups need to be added together as a true 2 gun agg....as does score.

Opponents that claim the top 10 most times end up the same, are not confident in saying all the time.

The only reason it's done the way it's done is because it's easy......
