2026 IBS 1000 yard Nationals August 8th-9th “6 target agg per class”

We at Northwest 1000 yard club are pleased to announce we are holding the IBS 1000 yard Nationals at Deep Creek Missoula Range… from a format standpoint for this match we will be changing things up with a 6 target agg per class light and heavy.3 targets per class each day for a total of 12 targets shot… unlimited sighters for each class and 5 shots for record both classes… put this match on your season schedule guys and gals as it will be a agging battle for sure .. good eats as typical and tons of laughs…

I'm looking forward seeing and shooting at Deep Creek, it's only 2,322 miles from the house. So I'm hoping to catch a match somewhere the weekend before on my way out. I'm definitely catching the 3 day 1000yd match at Vapor Trail on the way back home.

There is yes, very few power sites but if you have your own power plant you’ll be set

Attached are the 2026 IBS 1000 Yard Nationals entry form and a letter explaining our plan for the championships.

There is a new rulebook for 2026 and a link below. Both Heavy Gun and Light Gun shoot 5 record shots per target. In order to shoot 6 targets per class we need to shoot two targets back to back through out the championship. Some page and rule number references are in the letter for the course of fire explanation and how benches are assigned. The scoring and 2 gun information also follows the course of fire rule on page 29.

So far this year has been very competitive and I expect Nationals to be awsome.

"Usually" is the key word...I probably wouldn't have said that out loud though!

This is going to be a neat format to get off the ground and see the bars getting set. Looking forward to seeing everyone again!

I’m focused on the next two agg matches, after that its all about Aug and with the new format I believe the light gun will have a great opportunity to place well in both classes.
