I’m not 100% sure but based on the rifles I saw shooting, it’s more or less PRS style guns shooting at sling targets.

Yet another great match at Deep Creek. Greatest point was my wife setting her personal best @ 1000yds on her first match (194-5x), then beating it with a 194-6X on her second match. Bringing the FTR Team trophy back was icing on the cake!
Congratulations to Jay Christopherson and Don Erpenbach on their respective wins.

Next time I bring an F Open rifle like that to Deep Creek I'm going to ask Jamey for a sling target to shoot on. Won't be that rifle though, it's already got a different barrel in a different caliber screwed on to it.

Highlights:

Todd shooting a 200-18x in the team match. That was impressive.

Cindi shooting 200-16x on Sunday and besting all the usual top shooters. Didn't know it was a record at that time. Well done Cindi.

We shot FTR in the team match. Tim was up first. Shot a 200-15x. We were stoked. All of us were thinking that if we could come close to that we'd be on record pace. Found out that the electronic target was configured for sling. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted and even after the adjustment to the correct target Tim shot the best score of the group.

Talking to Don about how he was doing. He seemed kind of ho-hum about it, all the while he was rocking it in those conditions with a 308.

Trying to figure out, once again, how Todd and Jay can build such accurate rifles AND still see things in the conditions that few others can.

Twas fun. That 300 WSM didn't shoot but it didn't dislocate my shoulder, cause a brain aneurysm or make me cry either, so... that was a win...

Thanks Jamey for all the work you put into this. It's always one of the best run matches of the year.

Not QUITE factory stock due to McMillan XIT stock on Tom's gun. I believe Don is shooting a modified Model 12 Bench Rest stock.

However, the barreled actions, the heart of the rifle, are factory stock, though.

They might have pics but I don't have any of their rifles.

Hey it takes a great coach to know that the condition isn't actually changing and call you in to a 9, lol! Also, I've seen to many "hangover 8's" to fall in to that trap. ;-)

It is also good to know that brass coming out of a chamber and hitting your ipad screen may cause it to change to a different target.. Just good info... Right Jay..?
