Deadzero Spring Long Range Classis April 24-26

Registration is now open for the Deadzero Spring Long Range Classic sponsored by Sierra Bullets "The Bulletsmiths".

This is our inaugural Spring Long Range Classic match. This is not a NRA registered match. We will shoot 3 days of the Palma course of fire Friday thru Sunday. We will also incorporate a team match over the 3 days. All proceeds of the team match will go to help support the US Palma team. On Friday, the 800yd portion of the team match will be fired BEFORE the individual match. On Saturday, the 900yd portion of the team match will be fired AFTER the individual match. On Sunday, the 1,000yd portion of the team match will be fired after the individual match. There will be a cash prize for the winning team. If there are enough F Class entries to field 5 teams, there will be a prize for the winning F Class team as well. If we need to form teams of 2 F Open shooters and 2 FTR shooters, we can do that. The entry fee for the team match is $40/team.

Each day, competitors will shoot an individual Palma match consisting of unlimited sighters and 15 shots for record at 800yds, 2 sighters and 15 shots for record at both 900yds and 1,000yds. Competitors will shoot on a different target at each distance each day. This is to ensure that no one gets to shoot all day on any section of the range. On days 2 and 3, the top 25% of shooters will be resquadded on the same relay at the discretion of the Match Director.

We will shoot 4 relays. Relays 1 and 2 will be squadded together, and relays 3 and 4 squadded together. At Deadzero, we have 1 firing line with electronic targets at multiple distances. You will not have to move gear from yard line to yard line. You will have approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to move gear while your relay is not shooting or scoring.

The entry fee for the individual matches is $145. This includes a catered dinner on Saturday afternoon at our pavilion. We will have some very good smoked Boston Butts, Brisket and Chicken with a lot of sides. There will be raffle prizes from Sierra Bullets as well as other vendors and a cash prize to the overall winner of each category as long as there are at least 5 entries.

To reserve your spot, please send an email to MKubic@deadzeroshooting.com. Match fees will be collected in advance through Practiscore. We will set up a link soon and match fees will need to be paid by April 11, 2020 to reserve your spot.

I will post the Match Program later today along with hotel accomodations nearby.

Electronic Targets- 100, 600, 1,000 (Coming Soon: 200, 300, 800, 900)

According to the Dead Zero web site quoted above, e Targets at 800 and 900 yards are "Coming Soon." Are they installed already, or is this a planned improvement between now and the event?

They are not installed yet, but we are getting close. All 50 target carriers are installed at 800 and 900. If it ever quits raining, we should have all the etargets operational in 3 to 4 days. They have to be in before this match and we are working to have them working for our 2 day match this month March 28-29.

We have 62 shooters registered for the match at this point. A lot of the top shooters in the Eastern US are signed up including the AMU. It should be a very good match. Only 22 slots still available.

Unfortunately due to current circumstances, we are cancelling the April Long Range match at Deadzero Shooting Park. We are working on rescheduling for some time in July. The average high temp in Spencer, TN in July is around 86° making it very nice for shooting. Plus our firing line is covered so we are in the shade all day. We will issue refunds for the match immediately starting this week. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at MKubic at deadzeroshooting dot com.
