DBM setup

Just picked up a used 338 EDGE....Rem 700 BDL action in HS Precision stock. It is a single feed now and he wants to convert it to a DBM setup. Not sure which would work the best as there are a few different manufacturers out there. Obviously we are looking for an "extended length" mag setup....5 or 10 shot.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

I have used the wyatt bottom metal and mags they sold for lapua magnum remington conversions. Just did one for a 7mm ultra and it worked well. Pillar height is pretty finicky and you gotta mill a bit on the action

I'm in planning stages of a 338 edge build (poor man's LR setup).
As with most things need more info...
What OAL do you want to run? CIP length mags are preferred for the edge, but it limits your options.
What BM inlet is on your stock? An M5 is better, but not always recommended on a HS or B&C due to the amount of material that is removed. A BDL will limit you quite a bit. For an M5, Badger.

For a BDL, a Wyatts is probably the best option, but you need to modify the action and run a single stack mag. You won't get 10 shots in it, more like 3 to 5. Also, no Lapua single stacks due to the shoulder rib.

The path I will take is to get a KRG Bravo. It takes CIP mags stock. And can run dual stack CIP Lapua or Win Mag mags for the RUM.

Ditto the KRG (or other chassis/stock) recommendation. Sell the H-S stock, and you'll have a new setup, e.g. KRG Bravo, for less than the cost of new bottom metal and none of the work associated with making it fit your original stock.
