Date on primers

The date code is stamped in the primer sleeve cardboard. The explanation at this link is pretty clear:
 
yes they do, butt if from early 70s or 60s it gets iffy tried calling cci about primers Iknew were old maybe late 60s numbers on box were not in their records I described the box and he told me late 60s early 70s, his best guess they were lr mag and still go bang
 
Happened to be cleaning out my shooting buddies stash after he died.
Maybe 2K Remington LR primers stored is non controlled conditions.
My guess, mid to late 60s?
EVERY ONE WENT BANG in my M1A. :D
Some of the cardboard powder canisters next to the primers had the bottoms falling apart and powder everywhere.
