Dasher Starting Varget Load Weight?

Looking to work up loads using Varget and a Berger 108 BT. Normally shooting Norma 203B and RE-15 (which are about the same), want to evaluate Varget and the 108's.

Can you give me a beginning starting charge (loading manual low), for a 108 Berger BT and Varget in a Dasher?

If you want low you could load 30gr which is a 6BR load , most others would start around 32gr neat though.

30 grains although you’ll probably settle quite a bit higher

Thanks, my N203B load is a hammer, so why am I looking elsewhere...(keep it clean ;-))

...I’m retired and have lots of time to think about what if I change...?

I usually start pretty low and work up a bit at a time, really gives me a better understanding of the powder and what effects it has on accuracy, velocity, case changes, etc.

The 3 Dasher barrels I have on now are using 32.0 32.2 and 32.6 and shooting 108 Berger BT in all.

I started at 31 but with a 105

I ran from 31 to 33 of varget, backed down and settled on 32.5. Good luck with yours, its a fun cartridge.
