Dasher bullet choice

What's is the advantage of shooting the Berger 108s vs the 105?

I can't answer that but I can say the 108 is probably the easiest bullet to tune for and has a much wider seating depth to LANs gap from any other bullet I've tested so far. Typically you can find a good node between .015-.02 off the LANs

I have a few boxes of the 105 BT I've been aiming to test but just hadn't gotten to it.

All these bullets are good but the fact remains that 600 yard World Record was shot with 108 Bergers .336 8)

Kinda wishin' I bought some 108's to try right about now. Are they ok with a 8t? or is a 7.5 really needed?

According to Berger twist rate calculator a 108 in a 8 twist at 900 feet above sea level at around 60 degrees at 2850 FPS was comfortably stable ;)

Strange, i have some 108's here and that lot i use for fire forming now they never would shoot. I also did well with with the hybrid in 2012 but the next 3 lots i got wouldn't shoot. That forced me to the Spencers and lot after lot shot good…….. With a production bullet you can not set up on them because of size change and if you buy the whole lot will work if they shoot and there is no guarantee of that…… jim

if your interested in long range precision shooting try E.P.S. 106 gr. They will eliminate the need to weight sort and measure every bullet. They are the most consistent bullets I have ever used. Check out their website.

Jim,
Have you tried the Spenser Bullets? I read some pretty positive reviews.

In my experience, differences in chamber throating, as well as differences in brass/neck preparation steps, to be dependent influences of what bullet will work best to each individual. And is why what does or doesn't work for one person may or may not for some one else.
To say one bullet is better then the other, is an individual response that may well be unique to ones self.

I think Spensers bullets were sold to Bart's last year. That would mean you might be shooting a Spensers or Bart's, any way you look at it 8).

Bart's 105's!
No no no! I did not buy Spencer Bullets. I believe Vapor Trail owns those dies and makes phenomenal bullets with them.
