Dasher and RL-16?

Just curious if anyone has experimented with RL-16 out of a Dasher with 103 to 108Gr. bullets. Inquiring minds want to know.

I run it it in my 6BRA, I’m not able to find pressure with 107’s but get them to 2880 with a drop tube and a bit of crunch. .
It should definitely be a better situation in dasher.

It shoots good enough I didn’t bother doing much load development in

34.0 RL16 worked for me in two barrels , 105 vld Berger , 205m, Lapua brass from DJ.

RL16 lacks density of, say, Varget and is a bit slower as well. I found it to be a great powder for some of the 6's and I'm sure it will be a good choice for the Dasher.
Just employ a good drop tube.

35.0 grains of RL-16 in a Dasher with Berger 105 VLD's is the X-Rings worst nightmare at 600 yards.

SLOW pour with a long drop tube........
One lot of RL-16 came in at 34.8 gr, all the others 35.0. 3000-3013FPS solid gold in F-class.

RL16 is a great powder if it works in your case and bullet.
Has great temp. range, and usually gives more speed for
less pressure.
Too bad it's hard to find and is now very expensive.
Very under rated powder.

Never tried 16 but 15 and 15.5 shoot very well in my dasher with 105 hybrids and VLDs

RL16 is great in the Dasher! Plan on using a drop tube. If you don’t want the RL16 send it to me, lol

Both these loads seem reasonable considering I’m at 33.8. With a bit less case capacity.
