Danzac bullet coating

Where is the best place to get danzac (tungsten) bullet coating powder? I'm wanting to try some on my 222 and 17 rem.

I shot danzac coated bullets for years. The case I now shoot is too small to where I can put the powder I shoot in it. I would look at H B N what I have seen it is easy to put on works as good and found easy . Larry

I think the question ask was where he can find the product. My supply and source is gone. Larry
LOWERFRICTION.COM. .......where I got mine.
I Moly coat my bullets using the "wet rotary tumbling" method. It's not particularly clean, but the process is done in my utility sink so that any of the nasty black slurry that doesn't make it back into the storage bottle, is easily rinsed down the drain. A minute of shaking in a paper towel lined baking dish and two minutes of drying with a heat gun, and they're perfect. This procedure is WAY better than dry tumbling with Moly because I don't have to worry about the powder getting out of control. Plus, the bullets come out with a perfect finish; i.e. shiny, evenly coated, no bare spots, no buffing required, etc. They are indistinguishable from Sierra's factory efforts.

My question is can Danzac (Tungsten DiSulfide) be applied using the wet rotary tumbling method like I'm presently using to Moly coat my bullets? In other words, when mixed with water does Tungsten DiSulfide make a slurry and will rotary tumbling bullets result in a nice coating like I get with Moly?

Got mine from lower friction also.

I took a empty mayonnaise jar which fits perfectly in a Thumblers Tumblr, I think it can fit two jars for more volume. Added about an inch of BB's, 1/2 tsp of WS2 and tumbled for an hour or so. Rinsed the bullets in acetone for a couple of minutes, drained and placed them into a old glass pie plate. Once the acetone had evaporated, the plate was put into a 200 F oven for about 20 minutes, then into the mayo jar, another 1/2 tsp of WS2, sealed and into the Tumblr for a couple of hours. Check a bullet or two and polish with a soft cloth, if they look like shiny silver bullets you're done. I used a long spoon to remove the bullets from the jar and onto a soft cloth for polishing. BTW, wear rubber gloves and a dusk mask isn't a bad idea either.

They worked for me, but now I shoot just naked bullets. If you don't heat them, they don't coat well, leaving bare spots.

^^^^^^ I used about the same procedure except with a lot less WS2 once the BB's and drum were coated. I doubt the wet method would work because as pointed out, if the degreasing agent is not completely evaporated and the bullets not heated -you've got a gummy mess. I don't shoot Danzac any longer since I left the 30 BR and concentrated on the 6 PPC for Score shoots.
