Dans 40X

I just had to stick up for Dan, over on another forum. Replied to a post about a 700 that wouldn't fire. The bolt handle had come off an he'd had a 'gunsmith' put it back on. I figure the handle wasn't placed right on the bolt body. I recommended Dan at accu-tig.com. He replied back, "That's just some shop welders with a web site". I guess it just pissed me off to think that he just has no respect for skilled labor, so I replied he "could do whatever the hell he liked! When I needed a bolt handle put on in the right place I send mine to Dan. He does good work at a very fair price". Dan doesn't know me from Adam, but I've sent a few bolts to him, over the years, to time and weld a handle on and I've always been impressed with the quality of his work (I wish I could weld as good!). Where do some of these people think high quality products of any kind come from? I was listening to some talk show the other night and there were some statistics from 2008-2009, when the economy was crashing. There were, supposedly, many jobs available, just no people with the needed skills to fill them. Like I said, I guess it just POs me to think how some must feel about skilled labor. Do they think you take the time to learn a skilled trade because you're too stupid to learn to do anything else? Rant Over

Dan does great work and knows what he's talking about. It's amazing how many gunsmiths don't understand, or even know what primary extraction is....Dan does, and better than most smiths do.

He's good to go. Anyone that has been in the riflesmithing business for more than a short while, knows who Dan is and that he could write a book on this subject. I doubt whoever said that about him has a clue.--Mike Ezell

He will not suffer fools though.
I can understand that! The older I get the less I'm willing to put up with the stupid ________ . (just fill in the blank with whatever word you feel is appropriate)

Dan did one for me that "I broke off", trying to get it open after a overloaded a round froze the bolt. :-[
Took longer to get it to him than it took to replace the handle. FIRST CLASS WORK! And, the price was RIGHT!!
Even talked him into building a one piece scope base (that wasn't available) out of a couple of pieces. Turned out better than new. 8)
Easy man to talk to and deal with, besides REALLY knowing his stuff.
"That's just some shop welder with a web site?" Maybe with about 100 years of experience and knows what he's doing. One of the BEST in the business. 8) 8)

Glad to be &/or have been of service....Guys & Gals!

Some are convinced that attaching the handle is the complicated part of the task-
