I think the Dan Wesson Forum still exists but it appears membership is required to access anything there.
I found a Google hit that showed there is a SN listing with data of manufacture in the FAQ section there.

Have a look at Gunbroker - that will give you a better idea of the market for those. Niece set by the way !

Those are accurate revolvers with nice triggers. Monson was their first factory and some view them as the most desirable. I sometimes check gunbroker to see what people are asking for them. Pistol Packs never go cheap.

I missed out on a set just like that in .357 Max about 7-8 years ago in original case. It went for $1800 on consignment at a LGS in about 99% condition and barely fired.
