Damaged kestrel 4500NV

G'day all,

I have a Kestrel 4500NV w/ Bluetooth that has become damaged due to the battery leaking inside. Is there any fix for this? The LCD is half black and unit doesnt turn on. They cost an arm and a leg here in australia so I want to get this fixed if able.

Happened to me last summer. I called NK, and there is no fix. It is not covered under the warranty, but you can get a new one for about $100. Not a bad deal considering it was my fault.

Do you mean that you can get a new LCD for 100 or Kestrel?
